'The Memory of Trees', exhibited as part of the South West Biennale 2026, Margaret River HEART, explores the artists deep connection to the South West landscape—its forests, coastline, and the memories we anchor to place. 

 

The exhibition features two bodies of work:

 

Soliaries – A collection of solitary trees, each painted on a slender vertical panel. These are portraits of relationship: to a person, a place, a past self. Hung together, they form a quiet grove of reflection.

 

Navigating the Familiar – A large‑scale mosaic of painted tiles showing how we assemble our sense of place from memory, beauty, stories, and data.
