The Living City, an installation comprising sixteen digital frames that document Perth's city centre from dusk till dawn. Captured over a continuous fourteen-hour period from different vantage point, the work meticulously records the shifting light, the ebb and flow of traffic, and the changing presence of people as the city transitions from morning through to the night. The artwork documents the iconic architectural landmarks hour by hour, providing a meditation of the city's daily cycle.

 

The Living City was awarded the 2013 Black Swan Prize for Heritage, recognising its contribution to capturing and preserving the living character of Perth's architectural and urban heritage.
