INSIDIOUS

The installation, Insidious, consists of deconstructed plastic bottles that emulate the form of an invasive, introduced, botanic species, winding its way through the coastal environment. By transforming these discarded bottles into a vine-like sculpture, the artists offer a visual metaphor for the slow, invasive creep of plastic pollution into natural ecosystems. The installation draws attention to the persistent and often unseen decline of environmental health through the very material causing the harm.
